Emmaus House provides Christian care for the elderly who require support in day to day living. As a permanent home for older people, a place where they can maintain their independence whilst benefiting from the comfortable and secure environment and from daily fellowship with other Christians. Fully trained staff, call systems and passenger lift provide reassurance to less able residents.

We seek to offer support to residents for as long as possible from the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our residents through to the more particular needs of those suffering from various forms of Dementia. All Care Staff are appropriately trained, including training in Dementia Care. Our Dementia Co-ordinator is able to offer ongoing advice and support.

We also offer respite care for anyone needing short term care for any reason, please contact us for further information on short-term care.

As a Christian community, both residents and staff of Emmaus House meet daily for devotional times, all senior management share a commitment to the Christian faith and seek to work as one in providing superior standards of care. Above all residents are treated with dignity and love in a warm, informal atmosphere.

I was finding it increasingly difficult to look after myself and my GP advised me to look for a residential home, where I could have a little bit of extra help if needed.
